 John McCain looks to change the polling trends in his final debate with Barack Obama Wednesday night at Hofstra University before moderator Bob Schieffer of CBS News' Face the Nation. The two candidates will be sitting at a table along with their esteemed moderator, a proximity which may or may not spur a true face-to-face conversation. That's what the public seems to want, but the presidential aspirants are perfectly adept at spouting talking points without actually debating. "Debate" is really a euphemism. "Staged Dialogue" or "Forced Get-Together" might be more accurate. ... (more) |
